Up and Running again!!!

So, lots to fill you all in on since the computer has been down and well, life has been a little busy lately.
To start, Matt and I took a much needed night off from the kiddos and got a hotel room downtown.  We had a great night out and got to actually sleep in in the morning.  We seriously could not remember the last time that was even a remote option so it was super nice!

And this was the drive home after picking up the kids.  Really amazes me that they can sleep like this.

And this is a picture of what we have been dealing with lately.  We had a pipe break behind the refrigerator and flooded the whole kitchen, dining room, family room and basement.  Talk about a nightmare!  So our kitchen floors are all torn out and our carpet is super nasty and it's been this way for over a month now.  It's been kind of a mess dealing with companies that we want to fix all this for us, so here we are a month later and nothing's really been done.  Anyway, patience is a virtue!

And our beloved dentist finally retired this year.  My whole family that lives here has been going to him since we moved here and he will be greatly missed.  As you can see even Carter and Gavin like him!

What would life be without going to a dinosaur exhibit once in a while?  The kids are nuts about dinosaurs so they had a good time.

Finally in March we had a wedding/family vacation in Colorado.  Matt's brother got married and we are so happy for them.  It was great to spend some time with the family too.

This is really all you can hope for when trying to get all the grandkids together for a picture.  As usual, Gavin is crying and for once Carter is the one behaving!  Too funny.

Yes, my son does the robot!

And loves to cut a rug!

After the wedding we spent a few days in Colorado Springs where we hung out with some friends of ours we haven't seen in way too long.  Carter made a new best friend with their son while we were there.  They had a blast.

Cave of the Winds

And we took the trolley up Pikes Peak.

And what would a trip to CO be without climbing on some rocks!  The boys climbed all over Garden of the Gods.  It's funny because I kept hearing Carter say "I can climb that" and I remember say the same thing when I was younger.  What is the fascination with climbing?!

That's really it for now.  I've missed blogging, but sometimes you can't even find enough time in the day to floss let alone blog!  Hopefully, things will slow down a little once our house if fixed.  Can you tell it's driving me nuts that my house is in chaos?!  Ha!
