Before and After

Since our unfortunate (yet fortunate) incident with the water line behind our refrigerator, we have had to do some work to repair all the damage.  And when I say a little work, I mean slaving away every night after work for hours for about a month and a half.  Seriously, we had a lot to do.

As you can see, the boys were amazing little helpers and actually enjoyed getting involved in the projects and helping out.  Too cute!  This is them helping us rip up some tile that had been layed over laminate.  Good times.

Us living in a mess, which of course drove me CRAZY!

Here is the plywood that we lived on for a while.  Making the kids wear shoes every time they wanted to enter the kitchen was hard to do, but it paid off b/c neither one of them got a bad splinter!  Just a couple small ones.

And now for the drumroll.....

Here is the hardwood we put in the office.  There was carpet before.

Hardwood in the entryway, commercial carpet up the stairs, and new carpet in the living room.

Turned out beautiful!

Right before the water leak we had decided to remodel our downstairs bathroom.  Yes, basically the whole lower level was not pleasant to live in...  But it also turned out really nice.  Dad, you should be proud, your daughter sanded and stained that whole cabinet!

Moral of the story:  Inspect that water line to your ice maker every month!!!
