Seems like every year we seem to get to have one weekend before Christmas that has turned into a tradition. First off, a meal at Fritz's at Crown Center where a train brings you your food. People will wait in line for hours to get to eat here and it just so happened we only had a 45 min. wait this year (and we got there at 11:15!).
Then it's off to the ice skating rink. At first Gavin was excited...then he stepped on the ice and fell on his booty. He did not think it was so fun after that no matter how hard we tried. On the other hand, Carter got right out there and took off! He had a blast, especially when he would take Mom or Dad out with him when he fell. =)
Then outside of Crown Center they have a bunch of toys surrounding a huge Christmas tree. The boys enjoyed playing and crawling all over the toys.
In the same weekend we tried our hands at some baking and gingerbread house making. These are nutter butter chocolate balls decorated as melting snowmen by none other than me, Carter and Gavin. They were amazing!
I think more candy made it into these two little boys than actually made it on the house, but that's the fun part, right?!

What a wonderful tradition. So much fun! The train looks awesome, I bet those boys LOVE it! I'm very impressed with all the baking...I don't have the patience for it!
